The report of our recent webinar on unmet clinical needs is out!

On 5 January 2023, together with the EU-funded projects ENVISION and COVend, we held a joint webinar on ’Addressing unmet clinical needs, practices and patient outcomes: the impact of EU-funded projects‘. Experts addressed achievements and challenges regarding the impact of EU-funded projects on research and medical technology developments. 

Moderated by Ms Anett Rusanov, Director of Policy and Programmes at EHMA, this webinar focused on how research projects can contribute to improved clinical practices. Dr Yvan Devaux, Head of the Cardiovascular Research Unit at the Luxembourg Institute of Health and Project Coordinator, showcased COVIRNA and its impact on unmet clinical needs; while Dr Jan Kloka, Head of the Frankfurt Data Science Group at the University Hospital Frankfurt presented the COVend & ENVISION projects. The panel discussion featured Mr Ed Harding, Managing Director, and Co-Founder of the Health Policy Partnership; Dr Timo Brandenburger, Senior Physician at the Medical University of Dusseldorf; Ms Matilda Ersson, Project Manager of the breast cancer patient association Amazona; and Ms Britt Sandberg, Member of the Board at the breast cancer patient association Amazona. The webinar also featured Ms Kelly Woods, Senior Associate Publisher at F1000, who gave a presentation on the Open Research Europe (ORE) Platform.
