The report of our recent webinar on unmet clinical needs is out!

On 5 January 2023, together with the EU-funded projects ENVISION and COVend, we held a joint webinar on ’Addressing unmet clinical needs, practices and patient outcomes: the impact of EU-funded projects‘. Experts presented their projects and addressed achievements and challenges regarding the impact of EU-funded projects on research and medical technology development. 

Moderated by Ms Anett Rusanov, Director of Policy and Programmes at EHMA, this webinar focused on how research projects can contribute to improved clinical practices. Dr Yvan Devaux, Head of the Cardiovascular Research Unit at the Luxembourg Institute of Health and Project Coordinator, showcased COVIRNA and its impact. Dr Jan Kloka, Head of the Frankfurt Data Science Group at the University Hospital Frankfurt presented the COVend & ENVISION projects. Finally, Ms Kelly Woods, Senior Associate Publisher at F1000, hosted a presentation on the Open Research Europe (ORE) Platform.

The following panel discussion was composed of:

  • Mr Ed Harding, Managing Director, and Co-Founder of the Health Policy Partnership
  • Dr Timo Brandenburger, Senior Physician at the Medical University of Dusseldorf
  • Ms Matilda Ersson, Project Manager of the breast cancer patient association Amazona
  • Ms Britt Sandberg, Member of the Board at the breast cancer patient association Amazona.
